    The doctors and staff of Appalachian Animal Hospital donate their time and services to many organizations around North Georgia, some of these organizations are:

    • Ellijay Wildlife Rehabilitation Sanctuary- www.wildliferehabsanctuary.org  Appalachian Animal Hospital is a state licensed wildlife rehabilitation facility.
    • Gorilla Haven- www.gorilla-haven.org  We are privileged to be the staff veterinarians for Gorilla Haven, providing medical care for gorillas.

    *Local Schools-We provide educational opportunities for local students form kindergarten through high school. We work extensively with Gilmer High School students involved in their Vet Tech and Agriculture classes.

    • We train veterinary school interns from Auburn University.
    • We provide services to the community by offering low cost vaccine clinics.
    • Participate in The State of Georgia Sterilization Program offering discounts for Routine spays and neuters, we also participate in Spay Day USA
    • Gilmer County Animal Control
    • Gateway Pet Rescue
    • Friends of Gilmer Animal Shelter (FOGAS)
    • Fannin Animal Control
